To provide awareness to society about environmental matters is one of our goals. Bearing this in mind and believing that mobilized society can strengthen actions of nature conservation led us to create the Movimento Gastronomia Responsável (Gastronomia Responsável Movement).
The movement is curated by renowned chef Celso Freire and aims at inserting four responsible principles in the preparation of recipes, allying gastronomy and environmental conservation.
It began in Curitiba (state of Paraná), has already spread to several cities in the country and includes chefs and gastronomy lovers. Chefs are invited to adopt practices that have less impact on the environment when they are preparing their recipes. The general public, on its turn, contributes to biodiversity conservation by consuming Movimento Gastronomia Responsável dishes in any of the participating restaurants and by incorporating the principles into their own cooking.
